Exception Engine: people decide only what needs deciding
The Exception Engine is the Attention section of Centa AI. Only transactions that cannot be posted with confidence land here — with date, amount, counterparty, purpose, the document found, the reason and a confidence level. Every decision is posted to the books, can become a rule and is written to the audit trail.

Which questions appear
| Situation | What Centa offers |
|---|---|
| Payment without a document | Find the document, upload a file, or mark that there will be none |
| Payment amount differs from the invoice | Accept as a part payment, link, or keep open |
| Looks like a duplicate | Confirm the duplicate or mark as different transactions |
| Unclear category | Choose a category — and remember the rule for the counterparty |
| Corporate-card purchase without a receipt | Scan or upload the receipt |
| End-of-day cash discrepancy | Recount, or post the shortage/surplus |
Priority and order
Questions are sorted by risk and amount: tax and large items first, then by transaction date. Everything resolved leaves the list, and the trace remains: old and new state, who decided and the rule created.
Frequently asked questions
Can I let Centa decide more on its own?
Yes. The autonomy mode is set in the company settings: cautious, balanced or more autonomous. Confidence thresholds stay visible.
